Job Title: Account Executive
Department: Sales
Position Type: Full Time
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Job Description:
The AE is responsible for identifying and qualifying prospects and leads, negotiating sales contracts, addressing their needs, and closing sales effectively. The Account Executive position is responsible for both new contracts as well as owning the relationship as a frequent point of contact with the client. The AE will coordinate the on-boarding process along with overseeing the deployment of the environment with the Provisioning Team. The AE works with their customer base to ensure a high level of client satisfaction. The role is a liaison between DataBank and the client to both facilitate communication and create a strong working relationship with the DataBank teams, at all levels. The AE will also work to promote other DataBank services and assist clients to address contract changes and additions as needed. The right candidate will be a self-starter, adept in managed services and data center technology. They will ensure that the client satisfaction is maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating (verbal and formal presentation) the value proposition of Databank to qualified prospects on the phone and in person
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Databank core services and how they stand above the competition
  • Conduct data center tours
  • Gathering and assessing customer requirements that will be used to create proposals
  • Maintaining an accurate pipeline and forecast within CRM system
  • Provide clients support regarding their order(s) during the installation period
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure correct service delivery. Regular communication with the customer of the current business needs through periodic reviews which will include a Customer Support Representative from Operations
  • Thorough understanding of the customer's contract
  • Act as a resource to the customer in understanding the services DataBank offers
  • Display a thorough business understanding of the hosted environment
  • Seek opportunities to provide additional solutions to the customer's business need
  • Engage Operations resources to resolve quality of service issues
  • Assisting the Regional GM in the promotion of events such as: Networking in community events, professional associations, trade shows to generate positive name recognition and leads, help organize lunch and learns and outside partner events

  • Experience - Qualifications and requirements include:
  • Passionate about achieving individual and team success. Self-driven, motivated and results oriented
  • 5-7 years of experience in technology-related sales and/or account management
  • Ability to craft and execute a total solution vs. a point solution sale
  • Demonstrated presentation, organization, and time management skills
  • Proven communication and networking skills
  • Background in Account Management, colocation, managed services and/or carrier services a plus
