It was incredible spending time with everyone out on Lake Minnetonka last week. From the early morning launch to the afternoon catch stories, it was one of those perfect days that remind us why we love getting out on the water together.
The walleye were definitely cooperating, and seeing everyone’s excitement with each catch made it even better. Nothing beats combining great fishing with even better company.
Crunchy Walleye Recipe
What you need: Flour, paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, two eggs, walleye fillets, mashed potato flakes, vegetable oil.
How to make it: Mix the dry seasonings with flour in one bowl, beat eggs in another. Dip fillets in seasoned flour, then eggs, then coat with potato flakes. Heat oil in a large skillet and fry until golden brown and fish flakes easily (about 3-4 minutes per side).
Serve with tartar sauce and lemon wedges. The potato flake coating gives it an amazing crunch.
