DataBank Amplifies ESG Strategy with Appointment of Sr. Director of Sustainability

DataBank appointed Jenny Gerson as Senior Director of Sustainability to lead and expand its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. Gerson is responsible for advancing initiatives that support DataBank’s goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2030, in alignment with parent company DigitalBridge. Her role spans sustainability planning, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, health and safety, ethics, cybersecurity, risk management, and corporate governance.

As part of her mandate, Gerson is conducting a materiality assessment to engage internal and external stakeholders and identify ESG priorities most relevant to DataBank’s business and growth strategy. She emphasized transparency, accountability, and leadership engagement as essential to building an effective ESG framework.

DataBank’s sustainability efforts include its participation as a founding member of the Infrastructure Masons Climate Accord, reflecting its commitment to reducing environmental impact across the digital infrastructure industry. Gerson brings prior ESG leadership experience from Maxar Technologies and Zayo Group.
