DataBank announced it has become a founding member of the Infrastructure Masons (iMasons) Climate Accord, a landmark global initiative uniting digital infrastructure leaders to address climate change. The accord brings together more than 70 companies, including hyperscalers and major data center operators: to accelerate the industry’s path toward carbon neutrality. Participants pledge to promote standardized, transparent carbon accounting across digital infrastructure, helping simplify ESG reporting for enterprises and investors.
The iMasons Climate Accord is the first agreement of its kind, designed to improve sustainability across data center design, construction, and operations while reducing barriers to adopting environmentally responsible practices. The initiative aims to establish open standards for reporting carbon in materials, products, and power consumption, along with a maturity model for tracking progress.
DataBank CEO Raul K. Martynek emphasized the importance of industry-wide collaboration to meet growing digital demand while minimizing environmental impact. The company’s participation reinforces its commitment to sustainable, energy-efficient data center development and long-term climate responsibility.
