DataBank is expanding its Plano data center in the Legacy business park with its fourth major expansion announced in late 2021. The project adds 22,000 square feet of new space to the DFW3 facility, marking the addition of the fourth and fifth data halls at the site. This latest growth follows an earlier expansion in July that added 12,000 square feet, reflecting strong local demand for enterprise-class digital infrastructure.

DataBank provides enterprise-grade colocation, interconnection, and managed cloud services, and its Plano site is one of six data centers the company operates in North Texas. The expansion supports increasing customer demand for data center capacity in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, driven by technology growth, cloud adoption, and the region’s emerging status as a major digital hub.

The company’s continued investment in the area underscores its strategy to scale capacity where demand is concentrated, leveraging its national footprint of more than 60 data centers across nearly 60 markets. As part of its broader expansion initiatives, DataBank is positioning Plano as a critical node for enterprise and hyperscale infrastructure growth in the Southwest.
