SAN2 Decommissioning Questions & Answers
Q: If I have colocation space in both the SAN2 and SAN1 data centers, may I consolidate all my equipment into contiguous space in SAN1?
A: At this time, the only space available in SAN1 is the 40,000 square feet of newly expanded raised floor space in the data center.

Q: Is DataBank offering any incentives to move into the SAN1 space?
A: Yes. SAN1 is a state-of-the-art data center with newer infrastructure than SAN2. Although services at SAN1 would normally be more expensive than at SAN2, we are offering the following to customers moving equipment to from SAN2 to SAN1:
Two free months of monthly recurring charges (“MRC”) at SAN1
The same MRC pricing for space and power services as currently provided at the SAN2 facility
Waived Non-Recurring Cost (NRC) for space and power installation

Q: What happens if my equipment has not been removed from SAN2 by the September 30, 2023, deadline?
A: Unfortunately, we are unable to extend the deadline. Customer equipment that has not been removed from the SAN2 facility by September 30 will be moved to a nearby storage facility, available for customer pick-up, to enable DataBank to decommission its power and cooling infrastructure at SAN2.
