DataBank has formed a 50/50 joint venture with Goodman Group, a global digital infrastructure provider, to open a new 32MW data center in Vernon, California — bringing critically needed capacity to one of the most supply-constrained data center markets in the U.S. The facility, located at 3094 E Vernon Avenue, is expected to begin delivering its first 6MW in December 2026, with the remaining 26MW coming online in stages through September 2027.
The partnership combines Goodman’s development expertise and capital with DataBank’s operational platform, customer relationships, and 20-year track record of data center leasing and management. Goodman acquired the Vernon site in 2023, securing power, planning, and entitlements before designing the facility. DataBank will operate the site as its second Los Angeles location.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Goodman to bring critically needed AI-ready data center capacity to enterprises in the Los Angeles market.”
— Raul Martynek, CEO, DataBank
The Vernon property is the first for the JV, with both parties intending to expand the relationship through additional sites in supply-constrained U.S. markets. The announcement adds to DataBank’s development pipeline of more than 850MW across major markets including Dallas, New York, Atlanta, and Northern Virginia.
