DataBank's leadership team is comprised of industry experts with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the delivery of technology business solutions.
Tim Moore serves as the Chief Executive Officer of DataBank. He provides overall direction for the daily operations as well as the strategic vision of the company. Moore joined DataBank following Avista Capital Partners' acquisition of the company in 2011. He has over 30 years of experience leading large and small companies through significant growth cycles in technology marketplaces. Moore has 15 years of senior management experience in the outsourced data center industry. He was on the senior management team that grew Dataside from a single data center into an eight data center service provider that was acquired by ViaWest in 2008. Following the sale of Dataside to ViaWest, he served in a dual role as General Manager of all legacy Dataside business operations as well as on ViaWest's Senior Management team. He provided executive leadership to all phases of legacy operations and business integration. He has served at the Vice President level for three Fortune 500 companies where he established a successful background in sales, marketing and business development. He began his career in the computer industry in the 1980's. Moore earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the Fisher Business School at The Ohio State University.
CFO & Executive Vice President
Kevin Ooley has served as the Chief Financial Officer of DataBank since 2011. He has over 20 years of extensive experience in delivering shareholder value through the creation and implementation of growth and operational strategies. Prior to joining DataBank, Ooley served as the CFO for the Thompson Media Group and as a Principal at Lovett Miller & Co., a growth capital private equity firm based in Florida. He was also a Director of Strategy for iXL Enterprises and a Manager in Accenture's Strategic Services practice. Ooley holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
Bryan joined DataBank through the April 2014 acquisition of Arsalon Technologies, where he served as President since he co-founded the company with Gary Hall in 2001. In his role as DataBank's Chief Technology Officer, Bryan is responsible for the direction of the company's overall technology strategies, service philosophy, implementation and management. Bryan's experience previous to Arsalon includes management positions at BHA, St. Luke’s Shawnee Mission Health System and GeoAccess. He earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Mid-America Nazarene University.
Co-Founder & Sr. Vice President of Sales
As Co-Founder, Jerry Blair was instrumental in DataBank's inception in 2005. In his role as Sr. Vice President of Sales, Blair is charged with executing the company's sales strategy. With a successful track record spanning more than 20 years in senior sales management, Blair's experience and proven ability to implement results-driven direct and channel-focused sales programs is a very welcome continued asset to the company. Prior to DataBank, Blair was Vice President of Sales for Switch and Data and LayerOne. He has also served as General Manager of Sales for Lucent Technologies, and has held sales management positions with various industry leaders including ICG Communications, Nortel Communications and Wellfleet Communications.
Vice President of Marketing
Aaron Alwell joined the DataBank management team as a consultant in the closing months of 2011. His immediate focus was on enhancing the company's brand image and awareness. Now in his permanent role, Alwell's impact can be felt throughout every facet of DataBank's branding, presence, and messaging. Aaron is a Marketing veteran with proven success in establishing brand identities in emerging markets. With over a decade and a half of experience in marketing both consumer and business technology solutions, Aaron’s specialties encompass both traditional and online marketing, ranging from hands-on advertising and design to website design, social media and SEO/SEM. Prior to DataBank, Alwell was the Vice President of Marketing for USAFact, one of the leading corporate background screening agencies. He has also held management-level marketing positions with a number of technology companies, including ViaWest, Dataside, and Internet America. Aaron studied at the University of Texas, Arlington.
Vice President of Technical Operations
Dan Allen joined the DataBank management team in 2011. As the head of technical operations, Allen is responsible for all of DataBank's facility infrastructure and data center operations. With over 28 years of Telecom and management experience, Allen's oversight ensures DataBank clients have the highest levels of security and redundancy in the industry. Prior to DataBank, Allen managed multiple facilities totaling more than 100K square feet of raised floor for Denver-based ViaWest. Before that, he served as the Director of Technical Services for Dallas-based colocation provider Dataside, and spent 16 years with Cable & Wireless managing the company's central US operations. Dan is a Uptime Institute Tier Certification Specialist and is also an acting member of the Open-IX Association’s Data Center Standards Committee which guides the technical and operational for all OIX certified facilities. Allen proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Vice President of Product & Solutions Engineering
Evan is a veteran in the data center industry with over twenty years of experience in Information Technology and has an extensive history of success in delivering results around the data center, managed services, and cloud solutions for top clientele. Evan has been utilizing this wealth of expertise to drive customer performance while managing the Solutions Engineering group at DataBank, since joining the company in early 2013. He also works closely with our CTO to develop and deliver new products and services. His approach provides in-depth design assistance to clients in both the development and deployment of their IT assets. Evan has worked for multiple Fortune 100 & 500 companies in direct IT roles, as well as consulting companies & resellers (VARs), hardware manufacturers and a number of service providers. In addition, Evan also has extensive industry training including more than 25 different certifications from EMC, IBM, Cisco, VMWare and Microsoft.
Vice President of Managed Services
Annie Brock joined DataBank through the 2014 acquisition of Kansas City-based Arsalon Technologies where she served as the Vice President of Sales & Business Development since 2006. In her new role at DataBank, she oversees the acquisition and sales process for prospects in all aspects of the company’s Managed Services portfolio. Brock’s long history of success in both the design and delivery of IT solutions began in 1998 when she joined Sprint. While with Sprint, in a Network Engineering role, Brock Co-Managed the build-out Sprint World Headquarters Campus project. Brock holds degrees in both Government and Journalism from Northwest Missouri State as well as a MBA from Baker University. She also served as a White House Intern and worked with the U.S. Department of State on the ALMA Project, a fundamental effort to address Y2K concerns at American Embassies throughout the world.
Vice President of Engineering
Brad is a highly talented and dedicated technical resource for DataBank. He joined the company as the Director of Engineering in 2014 through the acquisition of Kansas City-based Arsalon Technologies, where he served the company since 2004 as an integral part of the Networking and Engineering teams. In his new role as VP of Engineering, he oversees all aspects of the company’s network infrastructure, service management and development as well as top-tier client support. Hajek’s prior history includes Network Administration for CIS at Kansas State University where he graduated with a BS in Computer Science. He has licensed as a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) as well as Cisco’s CCNA & CCNP.
