Driving responsible corporate citizenship with a range of environmental, social, and governance initiatives.
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) has become a critical factor for both investors and customers in evaluating the companies with whom they choose to do business.
Regularly reporting on ESG metrics – such as environmental impact or workforce diversity – demonstrates that an organization is being a good “corporate citizen” and is committed to the well-being of all its stakeholders: employees, customers, partners, investors, the public, and our environment.
DataBank’s primary investor – DigitalBridge — is leading the digital infrastructure industry in commitments to ESG with its goal of achieving zero carbon emissions across its portfolio of holdings by 2030. As a member of that portfolio, DataBank’s ESG efforts are critical to meeting that goal.
You can download our 2021 ESG report below. Among the highlights:
Environmental: The percentage of our power consumption that came from renewable and zero carbon sources rose from 51% to 55%.
Social: The percentage of our workforce from under-represented groups (women and minorities) increased from 33% to 43%.
Governance: We experienced zero whistleblower complaints and no data breaches.
