This means establishing recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) and determining what needs to be done to meet them. For example, the DRP should detail the hardware and software requirements for recovery, including spare hardware and installation media for operating systems and applications.

Regularly testing the DRP is crucial to ensure all procedures work as expected.
